Instructions
Create a step-by-step guide:
To activate an AIP, the CAD user has multiple options.
Click the AIP quick button on the work period ticket.
Right click on a request ticket and choose Accident/Incident from the menu.
Open the work period dialog screen and then the AIP tab and click the green plus.
After selecting the AIP workflow, the AIP screen will open and if paging events have been set up, the pager dialog will appear if the conditions are met.
After an AIP has been started, to re-open the screen if it has been closed or another user needs to view it, use the right click or work period dialog tab method to navigate to it.
Multiple users may have the screen open at any given time and be entering information as this feature uses auto-save functionality.
If there is an AIP start time configured, a timer will appear in the upper margin of the screen counting from the time set.
The top area of the form will be a stagnant display of information regardless of which workflow is selected. It may contain items such as the initial reporter contact info and a general description along with dynamic fields to show information pertaining to the specific request or mission.
The lower section contains tabs for the workflow, times, and history.
If the incident changes or escalates, requiring a new workflow, the user can choose to Escalate the Event from the Actions button at the bottom of the AIP screen, by clicking AIP on the ticket, or from the right-click ticket menu. From the action or right-click menu, the user also can upload supporting documents, view previously uploaded documents, and print or email the event information.
Missions and assets with an active AIP event will be highlighted in the CAD.
The ticket associated with the work period will turn maroon.
The asset will have a red box around it in the asset list and include the workflow title in the hover menu.
Before closing an AIP Event, users will be able to ‘End Event’ to indicate that the actual incident or accident has come to an end. They may not be ready to close the event as they still have documentation to add.
When they choose to ‘End Event’, they will be presented with a dialog box to choose from the list of Reasons for Event End. This will tag the system time of ‘Event Ended’ and be recorded in the AIP Times with the time, reason, and username.
The reason for the event’s end may be edited after selection with it being recorded in history and AIP times. Once all documentation is done, the user will close the event.
The ability to search for AIP events, both open and closed, is available under the Edit menu. Users can view or print the event.
