FVCAD has the ability to setup alerts that are associated with locations. This could be used, for example, to have an alert when flying to a specific airport that requires an hour notice to get fuel after dark.
Starting in version 6.9.0.0, you can also have these alerts be specific to the type of asset that is responding to the designated location. For instructions on using this feature, please see below.
*Note: some of these options are new in 6.9.0.0, if you don’t see the options you are looking for, check your version.
Instructions
1. From the action menu, select ‘Alerts’ this is the icon with the yellow triangle and blue circle, see image below.
2. Below is an image of the location alerts.
3. To add a new alert, click on the green + button. You have the below options available for the alert you setup.
4. If a facility with an active alert is selected as a location, the window will reflect that an alert is active, as shown below.
5. Clicking on the notes for a facility or on the alert warning will bring up the screen below, where the alert is listed at the top of the notes.
6. Going to Settings → Create Location Alert popups and turning it on, will generate an alert pop-up. When set to ON, the pop-up will display when an asset departs toward a location with an existing alert. NOTE: This setting defaults to OFF.
