Right-Click Asset
These functions allow the user to set the status of asset as In Service, Out of Service, or Weather Check. Assigning a status to the asset will change its color and require the user to give explicit permission when assigning the asset (if it is out of service or on weather check) to a new request.
When an asset is placed out of service, the user will be asked to give a reason why and pass along any possible extra information in the window below:
The possible reasons for an asset being out of service can be specified by an administrator.
When an asset returns to service, the time and any user comments will be noted in the window below:
User may also set the assets Post location, Suggest Next Action, View the asset usage, Schedule a Service Status Change, or Set a Conditional Status.
Set As Backup
This option allows the user to determine which assets are considered active and which are considered backups for the purposes of the view menu. Setting an asset as active or backup has no impact on the user's ability to assign that asset to requests, it simply allows the user to filter some of the less commonly used assets from the screen.
All Assets when initially created will always be tagged as Active Assets
This setting determines whether or not an asset belongs to the user's organization or is from an outside organization but is assignable by the user.
