Instructions
The Crew Information dialog allows the user to input and update information about crew members. It is important to note that "crew members" does not refer only to the crew of assets, but rather any person the user might have reason to reach. Inputting information into this interface simplifies the process of sending a page or otherwise contacting someone in the future. It performs identically to the Utilities > Update Crew.
Using this feature will open the window shown below. To add a crew member, click on the green plus button on top right-hand corner; clicking the Red X button will delete a crew member. Click the I button to access the selected crew's information OR double click the selected crew member.
Once you select a crew member the following screen will appear:
Contact Methods
- Pager - Alpha-Numeric pager and needs a Pager Provider selected
- Text Email - SMS paging, i.e. 1231231234 (no dashes, spaces, or parenthesis should be used in this field.)
- Email - Email
- Mobile - Cell phone number (enter the numeric value and the system will format with ( ), spacing and -)
- Primary Contact - Method of crew contact. What is selected here is how the crew member will be contacted.
- Secondary Contact - If the primary method fails, this will dictate the next contact method for the FVCad to attempt.
*Note: Crew members logging in through the Crew Portal can select contact method in the portal. This will override Page Contact settings.
**Note: If you do not have access to these fields, have your FVCad Administrator check the User Group Settings. The ‘Crew Contact Info’ (6.8.16+) or ‘Crew Pager Info’ (prior to 6.8.1.6) setting should be set to Full Access for users that need the ability to add values to these fields.
Crew ID
This is an ID unique to each organization and set by your organization. Flight Vector issues a different unique ID for each crew member.
Asset
This has no functionality.
Current Duty Time
When a crew member comes on duty, clicking Start Duty Time will record the current time as their start time for the day; when a crew member is on duty and clocked in, the button will change to End Duty Time. Clicking End Duty Time will record the current time as their end time for the day. Duty time can be entered manually by changing the times listed.
Allowed Roles
This allows for crew filtering on assets. Crew members can be set up for qualified Role, Standing Agreement and Asset Type in order to show qualified crew members for roles on specific asset types. For example, when adding a Captain for an AW139 Rotor, the dropdowns in all areas where the UI allows for a crew member to be added will only display crew members that are qualified as a Captain in an AW139 for Rotor.
