Are you unable to login/access to your instance of Flight Vector CAD? Here are a few troubleshooting steps before reaching out to make sure the appropriate people are on the line to assist.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Do you host your Flight Vector server or does Flight Vector host?
- If we host, please submit a support ticket and call us
- If you host, please contact your IT responsible for your server and make sure the following has been checked:
- Ensure that your FVServer service is running on your server
- Make sure there aren’t two instances of FVServer running from your task manager
- Make sure no maintenance was done on your network that could affect what ports are allowed to connect internally
- You are connected to your organizations network/internet
- No updates have been made to your server that would prevent you from connecting.
- Your computer is able to establish a connection to your server
- If you are getting an error for your password, contact your local system administrator for your organization.
- Even if we host your server, your local system administrator for your organization will have to be the one who updates your password.
- Are you typing in the correct server name?
- Are you on premises? Meaning are you logging in using the internet provided by your organization and not from another location?
- If you are not logging on from your organizations network, and you aren’t using a proxy, you will not be able to access the CAD and there is nothing we can do to allow that.
- Are you the only one able to connect or is everyone not able to connect?
- If this is specific to your machine then contact your IT responsible for maintaining your server.
If you got this far and are still not able to connect, please submit a support ticket and call us with the your IT on the line and available to assist in troubleshooting. It is important that the IT you have on the call have access to your server machine and possible your database. Without them we will not be able to assist.
